On the 1st July 2022, Ragamuffins Hair moved the 1.7 miles from Kenton to Starcross.

Ragamuffins Hair, now owned and operated by Bek Vowden, is working with the same products, the same salon software system, the same backwash experience and equipment that clients were accustomed to in Kenton.

The same Ragamuffins service and ethos that was always experienced is still an integral part of the business and will remain in place moving forward.

Bek Vowden – Owner

Bek has been with Ragamuffins since 1997 and has an extensive knowledge of all the products that she gained during this time. She, like Ragamuffins’ founder, Nikki Farrant, has only ever worked with Organic Colour Systems and she is one of the longest using stylists for Organic Colour Systems worldwide.
When Nikki retired on the 30th June 2022, Bek stepped in and Ragamuffins Hair Limited became Ragamuffins Hair with Bek as the new owner.

She is keen to welcome all her existing and any potential new clients to her bespoke salon in Starcross.
As she says “It is only the location that has changed, everything else that is Ragamuffins is firmly in place.”

Chelsea Brown - Apprentice Stylist

Chelsea has been with us as an Apprentice stylist for a year. She has quickly become an integral member of the Ragamuffins’ team and has taken to hairdressing like a duck to water. We are expecting great things from her.

Nikki Farrant – Retired

After 39 years in hairdressing, almost 26 of those with Ragamuffins, Nikki has retired and handed the reins over to Bek.

The two will stay in close contact to ensure that the same Ragamuffins’ ethos and service continues.
